How to Fit the Darla Designs Winter Combo Belly Band

Our winter combos have taken on a new belly band design from our original design to eliminate stitching along the back line of the rug.

1. Position the Belly Band
   • Take the belly band and slide the end that has Velcro on both sides under the two back holders (located on top of the back of the rug).
   • (Tip: Fold the near side end of the rug up and over the top of the back to make it easier to see where you’ll connect to the Velcro later.)
2. Wrap the Band Around the Belly
   • Bring the offside (right-hand side) of the belly band under the horse’s belly.
3. Secure the Velcro
   • Attach the offside end to the Velcro on the near side (left-hand side) of the rug.
4. Cover with the Near Side Belly Flap
   • Bring the end of the belly flap on the near side over the top of the belly band under the belly, securing it down. This flap provides an extra layer of coverage and helps keep everything secure and streamlined.
5. Check the Fit
   • Ensure the belly band sits flat and evenly under the horse’s belly.
   • Adjust snugness to allow comfortable movement without slipping or rubbing.

Tips:

• Ensure all Velcro is firmly attached and the band is not twisted.
• Double-check the fit after some movement, especially during the first wear.
